The Management Discipline at SBS brings together exceptional academics in the areas of organisational behaviour, HRM, business analytics, operations and supply chain, and organisational psychology. The discipline contributes to programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including the Surrey MBA, and pursues a balanced strategy across research, education and external engagement.
Role and responsibilities
* Lecturer in the broad area of Business Analytics. The post holder will join a world-class group of scholars and will make significant contributions to various aspects of business analytics research and teaching.
* Research areas may include machine learning and AI, econometrics and statistics, DEA, simulations and optimization. We are open to candidates with expertise in any of the above.
* Engage with local and international businesses to create impact and generate research funds.
* Collaborate with scholars across the University (e.g., computer science, engineering, data science and digital health) and publish in high impact journals.
Qualifications
* All candidates should hold a doctoral degree (or be close to obtaining one).
* Experience of published research outputs at CABS 4*/3* or equivalent levels.
* Experience of teaching advanced quantitative modules to a high standard within a business school context.
* Ideally a growing research network and pipeline of research.
* Alignment with the strategic research themes of University of Surrey is desirable.
