What is the job role?
Housing with Care is a domiciliary care service that provides care and support to tenants living in single or double tenancy occupied premises belonging to Citizen Housing Group.
We are currently recruiting for a Night Support Assistant to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Housing with Care Team.
You will provide direct personal care and support to tenants in accordance with their needs and agreed care and support plans throughout the night. This will be done in a dignified and respectful manner ensuring the maximum wellbeing of each individual and ensuring the rights of the tenant are upheld and promoted at all times, assuring the principles of choice, dignity, respect, privacy, empowerment, and fulfilment.
You will be working alone throughout the night under the guidance of the Senior Mobile Night Support Assistant you will provide direct personal care and support to tenants in any of the HWC schemes.
The role is 22.25 hours per week working shifts on a 6-week rota basis including weekends and bank holidays. You will be working a 9.5-hour shift starting from 21.45 to 07.15. The permanent role is based at Cottage Farm Lodge
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

Who are we looking for?
1. Ideally, you will either have a Diploma 2 or equivalent (NVQ 3 in Social Care).
2. Have a good knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
3. Be able to work with management to ensure that all Service Users’ needs are being met to support their individual outcomes.
4. The ability to use own initiative and respond flexibly to the needs of Service Users promoting dignity, respect and choice at all times.
5. Have the ability to assess service user needs, record and maintain records both paper and electronic and monitor accordingly, to communicate and liaise with Service Users.
