Job Title: Technical Contract Manager
Location: City of London
Salary: £70,000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations/Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction. You will lead a team of engineering professionals, manage all aspects of the contract, and drive a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management: Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of assigned sites, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures. Ensure the contract meets all health and safety standards and statutory and code compliance. Manage procurement of materials and services. Produce operational reports. Investigate incidents and ensure resolution. Ensure PPM aligns with manufacturer's guidelines and SFG20. Conduct site reviews and audits. Maintain escalation procedures for incidents. Promote company values.
2. Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership and guidance. Appoint engineers and ensure team competence. Manage performance and disciplinary matters. Conduct appraisals and training. Promote H&S culture. Ensure engineers are equipped and tested equipment is calibrated.
3. Client & Financial Management: Work with Contract Support. Communicate regularly with clients and attend meetings. Maintain high client satisfaction. Develop the contract and increase responsibilities. Add services and projects. Manage P&L, Debt, and WIP. Provide reports. Source additional work and quotations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a similar role within facilities management or building services.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
* Experience in team leadership and performance management.
* Excellent financial skills with P&L management experience.
* Proficiency in CMMS and related software.
* Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
