We are working exclusively with a growing and well-regarded construction business to appoint a Junior Estimator as part of their expanding commercial function.
This role is ideally suited to someone with 2-3 years' industry experience who is looking to build a long-term career in estimating, with clear progression into a more senior position over time.
The Opportunity
You will join an experienced pre-construction team and gain hands-on exposure to the full tendering process, supporting the delivery of accurate and commercially competitive bids across a diverse project portfolio.
This is a genuine development role, offering structured support and mentorship for someone looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
2. Producing quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
3. Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and analyse quotations
4. Supporting bid strategy and value engineering exercises
5. Maintaining cost data and assisting with pricing benchmarks
6. Working closely with senior estimators on live tenders
About You
7. 2-3 years' experience in construction (estimating, commercial, or quantity surveying background)
8. Strong interest in developing a career in pre-construction / estimating
9. Good numerical and analytical ability with strong attention to detail
10. Comfortable working with Excel; exposure to estimating software is advantageous
11. Proactive, motivated, and keen to learn within a fast-paced environment

12. £35,000 - £40,000 salary (depending on experience)
