Priory Oak House is looking to recruit a Support Worker - Nights to join their team.
Oak House is a residential service set back off the main road into Diss, Norfolk. We support up to six adults who are on the autism spectrum, and may have complex needs. Oak House specialises in promoting the development of social and independent living skills, to enable the people we support to lead active and fulfilling lives.
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour. Full time: 42 hours a week, 7:45pm to 8am. Must be a driver (2 years+, UK driving license, Manual).
Responsibilities
* As a Support Worker, assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertake routine tasks and activities to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents, and provide support with day-to-day activities while promoting independent living.
* Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
* Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
* Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
* Provide assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Support the development of important family connections and liaise with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
* Encourage participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
