We are looking to recruit a highly motivated band 5 Cardiac Physiologist to work within our non‑invasive Cardiac Investigations team and gain tertiary exposure and experience in our invasive Cardiac Cath Labs team.
Main duties of the job
* Undertake a wide range of routine invasive and non‑invasive cardiac investigations with a busy tertiary centre.
* Supervise Exercise tolerance tests according to national standards/guidelines.
* Analyse and report ambulatory ECG monitor recordings.
* Analyse and report 12‑lead ECGs as part of GP reporting service.
* Supervise and report Head‑Up Tilt Tests (HUTT).

Person Specification
Essential Experience
* Appropriate experience in a Cardiac Unit to State Registration standards.
* AHCS Portfolio of Evidence.
Essential Qualifications
* BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) / BSc Healthcare Science (Cardiology) or ACHS PTP certificate of equivalent.
* RCCP registration or equivalent.
Desirable
* ILS.
Knowledge (Essential)
* Demonstrate the ability to perform non‑invasive cardiac investigations including ECGs, exercise ECGs and ambulatory monitoring (ECG and BP).
* Show proficiency in leading ETTs.
* Understand and interpret a range of cardiac investigation results and analyze clinical data with supervision.
* Understand national and local guidelines and procedures required to perform clinical tests and demonstrate that they can carry these out to the required standards.
* Commitment to training in more specialised techniques e.g. tilt testing, advanced PCI, complex device implantation and follow‑up.
Desirable Knowledge
* Experience of stock control management.
* Experience of non‑invasive training and supervision of junior staff.
* Proficiency in diagnostic cardiac catheterisation and routine pacemaker implantation.
