We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Capital Project Manager to work as part of our Capital Projects Team. The team is part of the central business support team, based in Sutton, that delivers services to our schools and college as part of a multi‑functional team including finance, human resources, procurement, marketing, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering complex estates capital projects on time and within budget, operating within tight school and college holiday delivery windows.
* Lead end‑to‑end project management in education environments, ensuring specifications are effectively scoped with building surveyors, commissioning partners, and school/college leadership teams.
* Manage capital and revenue budgets in partnership with Finance, including expenditure tracking, forecasting, and detailed financial reporting.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver projects that enhance curriculum and non‑curriculum learning environments.
* Apply strong programme management expertise while building and maintaining effective relationships with professional partners and stakeholders.
Key Requirements
* Recognised training/qualification in built asset project management (e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent) or a relevant technical qualification or extensive equivalent professional experience.
* Demonstrable successful experience in project management.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence.
