Overview
Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations and related sites, and for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development. This role is a Project Manager within the site’s Asset Care team, focusing on delivering improvement projects, repairs, remediation and/or demolition in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Establish a vision and proactively manage the team to align with project goals and organisational objectives.
* Ensure safe delivery of projects to time, cost and quality targets, complying with statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure projects and work packages meet business and commercial requirements.
* Lead CDM activities for the project in accordance with health, safety and environmental management processes.
* Resource and manage a multi-disciplinary project team, securing specialist resources as required.
* Create, implement and maintain programme baselines and strategies, considering dependencies, scope, risks and assumptions.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to expedite safe project delivery.
* Monitor and report on safety, costs, programme and quality; identify deviations and implement remedial actions.
* Produce project documentation including statements of requirements, safety documentation, works control documentation and project reports.
* Manage project interfaces and documentation according to company procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
* Essential: Educated to HND or equivalent NQF level 5 in a relevant discipline.
* Essential: APM Practitioner Qualification or equivalent, with willingness to obtain within 1 year of appointment.
* Demonstrable experience in a highly regulated industry including engineering, procurement, construction/construction management.
Desirable
* CITB Construction Site Manager’s Safety Certificate.
* NEC 3 contract training.
* Experience in complex organisations (matrix management).
* Flexible and adaptable approach with strong problem-solving, planning and communication skills.
