Senior Chartered Building Surveyor - Exeter
Up to £58,950 | Hybrid Working | Public & Private Sector Projects
A leading national property consultancy is seeking a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile developments across both public and private sectors, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The role is full-time (37 hours per week) and offers a flexible hybrid working model, with a modern open-plan office conveniently located near the M5 for easy commuting.
Role Overview
As a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of property professionals, providing expert advice across building surveying and maintenance disciplines. You'll be involved in a wide range of projects, including:
1. Technical due diligence for commercial and residential properties
2. Preparing specifications, drawings, and risk assessments for new builds and refurbishments
3. Conducting site surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, measured surveys, and defect analysis
4. Leading quality assurance and ensuring compliance with legislation
5. Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Candidate Profile
We're looking for a highly experienced professional with:
6. Chartered Membership of RICS (or equivalent), or working towards chartered status
7. Proven experience in building surveying across new build and refurbishment projects
8. Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and related legislation
9. Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
10. Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
11. A proactive approach to client relationships and project delivery
