Retail Optical Assistant – Vision Express
As a Retail Optical Assistant at Vision Express, you’ll assist customers in selecting eyewear, perform frame adjustments, repairs, fittings and some pre‑screening eye examinations, and manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, handling customer queries, and processing payments. Your goal is to deliver excellent customer service and help customers leave with eyewear that fits properly and meets their vision needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service with personalised assistance to meet customer needs and concerns.
* Communicate clearly, translating professional terminology into understandable language for patients.
* Maintain accurate customer records, prescriptions and product details.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the store.
* Work under pressure in a fast‑paced retail environment, handling challenging situations.
* Demonstrate confidence, passion, drive and enthusiasm.
* Offer knowledge of optical products and services, promoting frames, lenses and contact lenses to achieve store targets.
* Maintain the store’s appearance, ensuring it is organised, stocked and visually appealing.
