Description The role of Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate and value generating input to projects. The role ensures that all commercial aspects are carried out in accordance with the contract, company policies and procedures, and to the satisfaction of the customer and/or contract leader. This role may work independently or under the direction of a more senior Quantity Surveyor. The Quantity Surveyor will be able to demonstrate the ability to function as a member of an integrated team. Responsibilities Preparation of proposals relating to the works carried out under the Anglian Water SRO Framework Management and agreement of compensation events and change on the projects Provide support to the Commercial Manager and liaise with Customer’s Commercial Team Develop the efficient and effective management and issue of accurate, timely and compliant notices and correspondence Ensure contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified to the Commercial Manager Prepare monthly progress valuations and claims for work completed within deadlines Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and Contract Budget reports Ensure registers of variations, delay, extension of time applications and claims are contemporaneous and maintained Produce records of pre-Contract tender negotiations & reports where necessary Review value management and advise on Risk management Prepare, review and complete of sub-contract documentation Knowledge, Skills and Experience A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving Increasing knowledge of a variety of forms & options of contracts Experience of drafting effective contractual correspondence and the facilitation of collaborative solutions Experience of developing & implementing procurement and contract strategies Proven negotiation and team-working skills Strong analytical skills Demonstrable legal, contractual and construction knowledge Experience in implementing and delivering strategic objectives Excellent communication and collaboration skills LI-KP1 Qualifications Post-graduate commercial experience in the construction industry with demonstrable track record of achievement Full UK driving licence Holds an RICS / CICES accredited degree Full Membership or working towards RICS or CICES
