Location: Hybrid (Remote with Travel to Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes, and East Midlands)

We provide innovative, evidence-based support across Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes, and the wider East Midlands to promote mental health and wellbeing for young people.
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee and manage multiple NHS and Local Authority contracts, ensuring the successful delivery of services, achievement of KPIs, and strong stakeholder relationships.
Job Summary:
The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management across NXG's CYP wellbeing services. This includes managing performance against agreed KPIs, ensuring compliance with service requirements, coordinating delivery teams, and fostering strong relationships with commissioners and partners. The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence and identify opportunities for service growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:Contract Management & Delivery:
* Oversee the management and performance of NHS and Local Authority contracts across Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes, and the East Midlands.
* Ensure that all contractual KPIs and targets are met, and address any areas of underperformance promptly.
* Monitor contract compliance and ensure delivery aligns with commissioner requirements and service specifications.
* Manage reporting processes, ensuring timely submission of high-quality performance data, activity reports, and financial summaries to stakeholders.
Operational Oversight:
* Collaborate with operational teams to ensure effective and efficient service delivery that meets contract standards.
* Identify any risks or challenges in contract delivery and implement mitigation plans to ensure smooth operations.
* Provide oversight of budgets, ensuring services are delivered within agreed financial parameters.
* Drive continuous improvement, identifying areas for service enhancements and implementing innovative solutions.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
* Act as the key point of contact for commissioners, local authorities, and partner organisations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and service alignment.
* Represent NXG Enterprises at contract meetings, performance reviews, and external forums to promote the organisation's vision and services.
Team Leadership & Support:
* Support the delivery teams, ensuring they are clear on contract requirements, KPIs, and performance standards.
* Provide guidance and leadership to project coordinators, mental health practitioners, and wider delivery teams.
* Monitor team performance, address challenges, and ensure a high level of professionalism and client satisfaction.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring:
* Analyze and present performance data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
* Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and commissioners, demonstrating contract progress and outcomes.
* Support the implementation of quality assurance frameworks to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Proven experience in managing contracts within the NHS, Local Authorities, or similar public sector services.
* Strong understanding of KPIs, contract performance monitoring, and reporting requirements.
* Experience delivering or managing services for children and young people, particularly mental health or wellbeing programs.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desirable:
* Experience working within CYP mental health or wellbeing services.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
* A degree or relevant qualification in Business Management, Social Care, or a related field.
Working Conditions:
* Location: Hybrid working arrangement – remote working with regular travel to service locations in Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes, and the East Midlands.
* Hours: Part-time (2-3 days per week).
* Salary: Competitive salary with a performance-based bonus linked to successful delivery of contract KPIs.
