Overview
As a vital member of our team, you'll be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and installations—both internally and externally. We're committed to a "right first time" approach, and we'll rely on you to uphold our standards in health and safety, customer service, and quality.
Your tasks will include:
* Internal and external brick repairs
* Full wall plastering, including kitchens and bathrooms to a high standard
* Knowledge of damp repairs, roofing repairs, and joinery
* Installation of lintels and groundworks
* Tiling, pointing, paving, drainage, concrete paths, rendering, DPC tanking, and soakaways
You may also be asked to support the development of others by mentoring apprentices, volunteers, or work experience placements.
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced bricklayer/plasterer to join our Repairs and Maintenance and Voids & Repairs teams in Redcar and East Cleveland. If you\'ve got the skills, experience, and drive to deliver high-quality work, we\'d love to hear from you!
What you’ll need
* Strong knowledge of bricklaying, plastering, and the repair and maintenance of buildings
* In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and safe systems of work
* A relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification in Bricklaying or Plastering (or equivalent)
* Proven trade experience in both areas
* Ability to multi-skill (desirable but not essential)
* A full UK driving licence
We will explore reasonable adjustments where necessary.
This is a varied role that requires a self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team. You must be flexible, willing to learn, and ready to grow within a developing and progressive organisation.
