Job Description
We are looking for a third‑line Oracle Database Administrator with high security clearance to join a growing team of IT experts delivering high quality services to government and commercial customers. You will provide enterprise‑level operational database support in a high‑availability environment, maintain Oracle database systems, and to a lesser extent MSSQL and PostgreSQL on Windows servers. Responsibilities include database maintenance, updates to data models and DDL, ensuring database integrity, supporting ClearCase/Quest, delivering remote and on‑site support, occasional out‑of‑hours on‑call, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating with multiple providers, agencies and customers.
Qualifications
* Experience in an ITILv3 support enterprise environment.
* Oracle DBA (10g/11g) experience in an operational support environment.
* Knowledge of the change and operational release cycle, including systems integration, development and test.
* Experience with IT architectures and the application of software/Systems engineering principles within a secure IT environment.
* Proactive self‑starter able to respond to complex situations with minimal oversight.
* Experience with Oracle 12c, Windows Server, VMware, WebSphere and JBoss applications.
* Experience with Microsoft SQL.
* Knowledge of geospatial products such as ArcGIS, ArcServer, ArcSDE is a plus.
* Experience in a defence environment or with imagery/geospatial tooling is desirable but not essential.

Pay Range
£47,600.00 – £61,000.00
