Position: CNC Setter/Operator Location: Cirencester Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience) Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you an experienced CNC Setter/Operator looking to join a well-established precision engineering company with a strong reputation for quality and innovation? This is an excellent opportunity to work within a clean, modern workshop environment as part of a friendly and skilled production team. About the Role You'll be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components in line with detailed technical drawings and quality standards. You'll be working with a range of CNC machinery - using Mazatrol and Heidenhain controls. Key Responsibilities Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to setup sheets and procedures. Operate CNC milling machines efficiently and safely to achieve production targets. Carry out in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.). Obtain First-Off Inspection approval before full production runs. Monitor production for tool wear, accuracy, and consistency. Maintain accurate records of operation times and production data. Follow all Health & Safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized. About You Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator in a precision engineering or subcontract machining environment. Confident using Mazatrol and/or Heidenhain controls. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. Skilled in using inspection and measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Team player with good communication skills. Desirable Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining. Experience working on both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
