Main duties of the job
To lead the Practice Nursing team in all aspects of the delivery of high quality services.
* Writing, approving, disseminating and reviewing appropriate policies and protocols.
* Infection Control and COSHH Lead, including Clinical Waste.
* Working with QOF manager to achieve targets.
* Line Manager to the Nursing Team, including appraisal and revalidation functions.
* Chairing monthly nurse meetings and completing minutes.
* Completing relevant audits and monitoring e.g. of fridge temperatures, vaccine stock, infection control.
* Overseeing the ordering of stock including dressings and vaccines and checking stock levels and expiry dates.

Experience
* Experience of managing a Practice Nursing Team.
* Experience of working in Primary Care and a GP Practice.
