Our colleagues’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at OFG, so we’re always looking for new ways to improve everyone’s work/life balance. We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).
We now have a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join our close-knit team at 3 Dimensions School.
Location: 3 Dimensions School, Chard, TA20 3AJ
Contract: Fixed Term - Maternity Cover until March 2026, Term Time only
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Enjoy a rewarding education career and have a real impact on pupils’ lives. Join an amazing team making our schools and classrooms supportive, enriching places where vulnerable pupils achieve far more than they ever expected.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will connect directly with the brilliant pupils we care for, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. You will help prepare learning materials and run classroom activities, with plenty of hands-on experience and some supervision too. Supporting pupils with complex needs is important and rewarding work, and you will benefit from the tremendous support offered by our hugely experienced teams. As you help our pupils achieve real and significant progress, you will enjoy having a direct, positive impact on their developing lives.
Taking a responsive and caring approach, you may be running classroom activities, leading outdoor experiences or supervising pupils as they explore further afield.
Our schools are built on great teamwork and mutual support. 3 Dimensions School is in an exciting phase of growth and development. With not just one, but two school sites! Resulting in a far wider offer of educational places, and a wealth of opportunities for young people with SEN (i.e., Learning difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PDA, Attachment Disorder, and young people who have experienced previous trauma).
3 Dimensions School is an Options Autism School, within the Outcomes First Group. We are an inclusive, forward-thinking school, who embrace diversity.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
