We provide expert clinical solutions across a range of specialist markets, including security-based environments such as court custody suites and other custodial settings. Position
This position is offering 26.5 hours per week, £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925), working 8am to 5pm. As a Paramedic, you will be part of a close team using clinical expertise to take full responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of custodians within the court setting. You will be responsible for diagnosis, identifying appropriate interventions, maintaining records, and providing clinical advice and guidance in a court setting. Experience within a prison secure establishment would be an advantage.
Duties
* Adhere to and implement CQC and local policies and procedures whilst working within the HCPC Code of Professional Conduct.
* Apply critical analysis to the synthesis of complex information during the care process to provide accurate health information and medication guidance to patients.
* Keep immediate and accurate records of service user enquiries during the consultation.
* Accurately document consultation notes in a timely fashion to support clinical guidance and intervention.
* Identify and use information sources to support clinical decision-making.
* Recognise opportunities for health education during consultations and provide information in person or refer to appropriate health care providers as required.
* Refer to Service Delivery Manager, peers or colleagues as necessary, while maintaining accountability and responsibility for decisions made in relation to clinical calls and operational needs.
* Demonstrate the ability to remain focused on service delivery while managing an unpredictable and diverse workload.
* Maintain working knowledge of standard procedures and escalate issues affecting service delivery as necessary.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
* Current registration with HCPC as a paramedic with no investigations or suspensions current or pending.
* Previous experience of clinical autonomy.
* Able to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
* Minimum 3 years post qualification as a paramedic.
* Evidence of consolidating post qualification practice.
* Primary And Acute Secondary Care Experience – Experience within a prison secure establishment would be an advantage.
* Basic IT skills.
* Ability to speak fluent English.
* Full driving licence and own transport.
* Smart, professional appearance and conduct.
Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to work actively within a team, but to work without supervision when necessary.
* Ability to identify and correct signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient.
* Clear and concise communication skills, particularly when interacting with patients and third parties.
* Ability to influence a clinical situation.
* Attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.
* Ability to make appropriate and informed decisions quickly.
* Ability to remain calm and professional in an intense working environment.

Additional information: Part-time hours: 26.5 per week. Salary: £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925) working 8am to 5pm. You'll work an average of 26.5 hours across a 2 week rota (covering Monday to Saturday) from 8am to 5pm.
