Allicio are looking to recruit a Buyer/Merchandiser who will work with internal and external suppliers to maximise profits and manage the performance of specific products or product lines.
As Allicio’s Buyer/Merchandiser the success candidate will on a day-to-day basis:
* Work with the Procurement Team to prepare sales and ingredients/packaging plans.
* Liaise with internal colleagues, supplier, and distributors in ways that secures the best possible ingredients and packaging costs, maximises profitability, and minimises wastage and surplus materials.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of appropriate data and reports.
* Forecast profits and sales and work with colleagues to maximise sales volume and profitability of the Company.
* Maximise Allicio’s profits by analysing the cost models for all products and ensure that all relevant parties receive timely and up-to-date data.
* Review and present relevant sales and profitability performance data.
* Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external colleagues that ensures Allicio is able to negotiate cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing delivery schedules, and complete all required paperwork.
* Improve Allicio’s performance by maintain an awareness of competition.
* Negotiate the best possible prices throughout the procurement chain.
* Develop and proactively monitor margin control across the product range.
To be Allicio’s Buyer/Merchandiser the successful candidate will:
* Possess at least 3 years’ proven experience of working in a similar role (preferably within the food manufacturing sector).
* Possess proven knowledge of procurement, supply and manufacturing, and the impact these have on cost and procurement models.
* Possess a proven knowledge and experience of costing and margin control.
* Demonstrate a proven experience of liaising and negotiating with suppliers.
* Demonstrate a proven knowledge of financial reporting, product cost models, and how these influence business decisions made on a daily basis.
