Middlesbrough Environment City (MEC) are recruiting for a Marketing Communications Manager.
About Our Charity
Middlesbrough Environment City (MEC), we have been at the heart of the Teesside community since 1992, working to make a positive impact for over 30 years. Our focus is on environmental sustainability and social justice. By collaborating with communities, schools, local authorities and businesses, we support efforts to tackle climate change, enhance green spaces, and reduce waste. Our initiatives range from energy-saving projects and sustainable food programs to encouraging active and eco friendly lifestyles. Through education and practical support, we aim to empower people to take small, meaningful steps toward a healthier, greener future.
About The Role
As the Marketing Communications Manager, you will work closely with the leadership team to help shape the direction of our marketing and communication efforts and ensure they are delivered effectively to support our goals. You will take the lead on exciting campaigns, develop our new brand, and engage our audiences through creative and innovative strategies. Acting as a key representative of MEC, you will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the wider Tees Valley community to raise our profile and create meaningful connections.
Right now, MEC is undergoing a strategic review to redefine our purpose and ensure we are in tune with changing market trends and what our communities need. This process will guide how we approach marketing and communications in the future, helping us increase our impact and tackle new challenges. As Marketing Communications Manager, you will play a key role in this journey, working closely with leaders and teams across the charity to review what we are doing now, identify opportunities to grow, and bring a fresh strategy to life. Your creativity and leadership will be vital in helping us succeed and grow during this exciting time of change.
