Job overview

Responsible for providing all aspects of clinical photography for diagnosis, case records,education,research and publication.

Responsible for providing a general photographic support service for patient information,research,publication, educationand publicrelations.

To assist in the development of the clinical photographic service internally and withexternalcommissioning providers.

To support in the design and setting of standards for clinical and non-clinicalphotography across University Hospitals Sussex, with continuing responsibility fordelivery of high quality photographic work to clients’ specifications and deadlines,ensuringclient satisfaction.

Main duties of the job

The CMC has a need for a replacement qualified/trainee clinical photographer as a member of the team will be taking her full maternity leave allowance plus any accrued annual leave.

The CMC need maternity cover to maintain our current clinical commitments across the Trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Please note: This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. As such, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. Applicants will therefore need to already have the right to work in the UK to be considered. 1. Adherestounitprotocolsandpolicies
2. Is aware at all times of the requirements to follow GDPR and Caldicottrequirements with particular awareness of sensitivity of the images being producedand works within Trust guidelines and policies with regard to patient consent andconfidentialityto clinicalphotography.
3. CarriesresponsibilityforassessingGillickcompetencyofminorsandjudgingtheunderstanding of consent authorisation by the patient prior to undertakingphotography.
4. Provides advice and guidance in interpreting legislation and policy guidelines toTruststaffwhenrequiredregardingconsent,confidentialityandphotography.
5. Ensures correct archiving and labelling of digital images on central server. Controls access totheinformationinlinewithGPDR.
6. ManagesqualitycontrolandperformancereviewinconjunctionwithHeadofCMC.
7. Troubleshootday-to-dayon-siteissueswith staffandserviceusers.
8. Responsible for on-site colour management of monitors and peripheral devices toensureaccuracyof clinicalrecords.
9. Responsible for the safe use, maintenance and storage of valuable digital cameraandvideo equipment.
10. Responsible for on-site stock control of photography and other materials as agreedwith teammanager.
11. Actsas role modelandadvisortolessexperienced staff.
12. Supportsseniorstafftocreateasuitable,supportiveandsafeteamenvironment.
13. Supervisesplacementstudentswithinthephotographicsectionofthedepartmentasappropriate.
14. Ensuresdailyteam wellbeing is assessed and supported and that weekly huddlestakeplace.
15. Participates teammeetingsintheabsenceoftheHeadofCMC.
