Aims of Job/Job PurposeTo support the Deputy Director in managing the delivery and development of Student Experience across the Campuses with particular focus on Personal Development and Behaviour (Careers, Safeguarding and Positive Behaviour). Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Support the Deputy Director in the development and delivery of all Student Experience functions, ensuring all aspects of the service are inclusive and consistent. Assist and support the Designated Safeguarding Lead/Deputies to ensure that robust safeguarding and PREVENT procedures and practices are adhered to. Directly line manage and operationally support the Careers Co-ordinator and ensure effective careers, advice and guidance is being delivered in alignment with the college's careers strategy. Manage and report to the Deputy Director/Careers Lead on the distribution of Careers support Support the Careers Strategic Leads in meeting the needs set out within the College's action plan and the development of careers impact maturity model Directly line manage and operationally support the Safeguarding Managers Ensure that the Safeguarding Managers collaborate with appropriate teams to support and develop safeguarding resources, processes and systems for learners to encourage positive behaviour Raise the profile of the Care Leaver's Covenant and ensure all Care Leavers are given the opportunities and encouragement to access Ensure clear communication from and to Virtual Schools to ensure the college is up to date on all requirements necessary to support Care Experienced Learners Ensure effective quality assurance and improvement arrangements and constantly seek to identify and adopt best practice approaches. Ensure that the teams deliver excellent, consistent services in line with the College's strategic vision. Represent the College on various external bodies ie Police Schools Panels, Virtual School, NHS/Mental Health/Police Follow all policies and procedures regarding child protection, referral and data protection. Act as Designated Teacher for Children in Care and support the team in the protection of vulnerable learners Manage the team throughout the learner journey, liaise with schools, agencies, partnerships etc Develop excellent links with curriculum and work in collaboration to improve services to learners and partners. Support the management team in developing data reports for monitoring and presentation To ensure that analysis of learner feedback is undertaken to identify levels of satisfaction with Student Services and continually improve services Support the continued achievement and maintenance of appropriate quality standards and accreditation Be responsible for the development and implementation of data quality assurance procedures and checks Assist with staff development across the college Develop and monitor appropriate service standards and ensure compliance with both legal requirements and the demands of best practice across areas of responsibility Lead on the developing knowledge capabilities and customer focus of staff within relevant teams Flexible approach to work and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends Undertaking any duties commensurate with the post Other Duties and Responsibilities Comply with internal and external quality standards and contribute to the College's strategic aims.
