Duties will include;
-Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and deal with machine down-time efficiency.
-Action repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised
-Electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance
-Provide assistance in troubleshooting and identification of equipment problems
-Maintain relationships with production operators to foster a good team environment when working on the equipment.
-Write SOP's and other technical documents in support of the engineering department as well as the end users.
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices.
Skills required
*Apprentice trained engineer
*Experienced shift engineer in a high-volume continuous production manufacturing environment
*Strong technical capability with mechanical engineering pedigree (familiar with pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical systems) with basic level of competence in electrical systems and control.
*High competence in workshop skills
*Ability to work at height (IPAF trained)
Salary - £38668 + Shift allowance
Shift - 22.00 - 06.00
Location - Cardiff Docks
Holidays - 22 days plus bank holidays
