We are supporting an MSK and Orthopaedics specialist clinic across London and are in search for a Lead Radiographer to support their growth and service. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, their modern and aesthetic clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art MRI and X-ray scanners. Across their sites, they have 4 Siemens Scanners, a 1.5T Aera, 1.5T Avanto, 3T Spectra, and 3T Lumina, in addition to Siemens DR and CR X-ray rooms.
Their first-class patient care and unmatched MSK and Orthopaedics services have gained recognition from FIFA as a centre of excellence, after undergoing a strict selection process.
The Role
As Lead Radiographer, you will work closely with the Head of Imaging to oversee the day-to-day running of the imaging departments. You will lead a team of radiographers, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centred imaging services are delivered consistently.
This is a hands-on leadership position that combines clinical expertise with operational management. You will play an active role in maintaining and improving imaging protocols, supporting training and development, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide professional and operational leadership across imaging services.
* Line-manage and support radiography staff, including appraisals, training, and performance management.
* Oversee service delivery, staffing levels, and departmental rotas to meet clinical demand.
* Maintain and develop imaging protocols in collaboration with radiologists.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety, radiation protection, and infection control policies.
* Lead on incident reporting, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and continued professional development of imaging staff.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and service improvements.
About You
* HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer.
* Proven experience in a senior or leadership role.
* Strong clinical skills and technical understanding of MRI.
* CT experience is desired.
* Strong understanding of imaging governance, quality assurance, and service delivery.
* Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
* Confident managing multiple priorities across different sites.
* Committed to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
