Re-Form Heritage are a growing charity in the UK’s exciting heritage sector, with big ambitions to expand on our existing successes.As the Heritage Development Trust for Stoke on Trent, we revitalise communities through the regeneration of heritage buildings at risk of decay and demolition. The areas in which Re-Form Heritage works are impacted by deprivation, underinvestment, and inadequate infrastructure - places which will benefit most from the regeneration and growth we successfully deliver.
As Development & Grants Officer your role will lead to the development of the Re-Form Heritage patron and corporate sponsor offer, as well as support the grant funding applications.The post is funded by a grant, and the post will be line managed by the Finance Director.
As Development & Grants Officer, you will:
·Focus on maintaining and expanding a charity's support base by securing new partnerships, funding (including small grants), and similar opportunities.
·Maintain accurate records of donors, donations, and fundraising activities, using Beacon CRM system.
·Deliver planning, logistics and execution of fundraising events in internal and external venues, campaigns, and appeals.
·Research new retail stock ideas- tailor seasonal trends, maintain appropriate retail stock levels and records, support retail volunteers, work with the marketing manager to create POS marketing for the retail department.
·Attend networking events across Stoke-on-Trent and further afield to identify and pursuing new business leads and sponsorship opportunities (own transport essential)
·Manage donor communications, including thank-you letters, updates, and newsletters.
·Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and tracking deadlines.
·Create marketing material for all fundraising activities
· Manage a legacy development programme
* Ensure all fundraising data are kept to a highstandard and are in compliance with data protection regulations
* Develop and promote Re-Form Heritage’s charity status
* Undertake other appropriate duties as may be requested by the Chief Executive or Finance Director
JOB INFORMATION
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with donors, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
·The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines is crucial.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and experience with CRM systems.
·The ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
·A genuine interest in the charity's work and a commitment to its goals.
·Ability to build rapport and relationships with people quickly, whether in-person or via appropriate media.
·Excellent data and numeracy skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
·Experience of supporting fundraising.
· Up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in fundraising.
·Experience of managing budgets.
· Direct experience of data protection regulations.
·Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
Time: 22.5 hours per week
Duration:6 months ( possibility of extension pending further funding)
Location: Middleport Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent
We are willing to consider flexible working patterns (eg, variable hours equivalent to a full-time role), hybrid home/office working, and a primarily remote working arrangement.
