Health Care Assistant - Part-Time
Location: South Elmsall, Pontefract, WF9 2TF
Contract type: Part-Time, 24 hours per week, 6:00am – 2:00pm, including weekends
Rate: £13.81 per hour upon completion of the Care Certificate

About the Employer: Bennett Court is part of Exemplar Health Care, a leading provider of nursing care for adults with complex and high‑acuity needs. The home supports adults with complex mental health needs and neuro‑disabilities, including Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Separate supported living facilities also provide opportunities for more independent living.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals with their personal care
* Assist during meal times
* Understand individual health and wellbeing needs
* Encourage and support participation in social activities, both within and outside the home
* Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect
* Complete and maintain care records
* Liaise with friends, relatives and other stakeholders to promote the home’s profile

* Able to manage and defuse challenging situations
* Energetic and outgoing, with a positive, can‑do attitude
* A great listener and communicator
