Who You Are We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with previous experience in grounds maintenance. Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of horticultural machinery and an essential knowledge of Health & Safety practices. A valid driving license for up to 3.5 tonne vehicles is necessary, preferably with experience in driving within a London Borough. While plant knowledge is desirable, supervisory experience would be an advantage but isn't essential. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, the ability to work in all weather conditions, and be courteous and polite while interacting with the general public. What the Job Involves The role involves maintaining over 100 parks and open spaces in Enfield, including playgrounds, countryside areas, sports pitches, and additional responsibilities like grass verges along roads and housing estates. Maintenance duties may expand to some Borough schools, with workers required to travel across the Borough daily. The job is varied and includes physical tasks that need to be completed both unsupervised and as part of a team. The working hours are 7:30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30am – 3:30pm on Friday, with a total of 37 hours paid per week.
