Job Description
You will be primarily involved in the daily inspection of the quality of the work completed onsite. Alongside the site team, you will initiate continuous improvements to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. This will ensure the customers' expectations are met, whilst aligning activities within industry standards.
Responsibilities
1. Manage site engineers and support the Site Agent and supervisors with the day-to-day running of the site.
2. Support the site agent to deliver exemplary health, safety, environmental, and quality performance.
3. Responsible for quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements.
4. Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and queries are answered.
5. Proactively resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
6. Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of the work.
Qualifications
1. Educated to degree standard in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
2. Demonstrable 5 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally within the water sector.
3. Ability to plan ahead and delegate tasks effectively.
4. Valid CSCS / CSR card.
5. Knowledge of latest building regulations, legislation, and health and safety standards.
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
7. Full UK manual driving license.
8. Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
9. Excellent attention to detail, with meticulous planning and organizational skills.
