As Environment Protection Officer, that involves: Deliver compliance monitoring and enforcement of a third of the 693 reservoirs under the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 to ensure safety downstream of the sites Continue the momentum of the enforcement campaign to drive up compliance and reservoir safety Provide advice, support and guidance to reservoir managers and engineers Contribute to SEPA’s transformational change to improve productivity Respect for your expertise This is a highly important role within our Data, Evidence & Innovation (DEI), and while training will be provided, we are looking for someone who has: Relevant experience or qualification equivalent to a minimum HND / SCQF Level 8-10 Technical knowledge/experience of enforcement and/or environmental regulation Ability to provide advice and guide others on the resolution of issues and proven problem-solving capability Ability to understand and interpret policy and give detailed guidance, advice or information to others Ability to deal with challenging situations in a professional manner Please open the link to the Environment Protection Officer role profile which outlines the core responsibilities and expectations of the role within a defined activity family.
