Mobile HGV Technician, focusing primarily on Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI). In this field-based role, you’ll ensure that HGVs and specialist vehicles remain in top condition by conducting regular inspections and maintenance. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, Location: Field-based (Buckinghamshire) Salary: £19 - £22 per hour over time available Positions Available: 1 What You’ll Be Doing * Conduct Periodic Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on HGVs and specialist vehicles to ensure they meet compliance and safety standards. * Perform routine inspections and minor repairs to maintain the optimal condition of vehicles. * Identify any maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repairs. * Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures during all tasks. * Work independently as this is a fully field-based role with no workshop on-site. Who We’re Looking For Essential: * HGV City & Guilds or an equivalent qualification (or ability to demonstrate an equivalent skill level). * HGV Driving Licence. * Solid knowledge of HGV MOT laws and requirements. * Experience conducting PMIs and minor repairs. * Familiarity with diagnostic equipment. * Understanding of Health and Safety laws. * Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude.
