Principal Wastewater Process Engineer
Contract | Remote Working | £500‑£600 per day (Inside IR35)
An exciting opportunity for a Principal Wastewater Process Engineer to support a major capital delivery programme, working on high‑value wastewater infrastructure projects with flexibility to work fully remote, while staying connected to a collaborative UK‑based engineering team.
You’ll provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle – from feasibility and design through to operational support – shaping innovative, sustainable,:) solutions on multi‑million‑p zig wastewater schemes.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading wastewater process design through feasibility, outline and detailed design
* Setting technical direction and supporting strategic decision‑making
* Reviewing process models, PFDs, mass balances, P&IDs and supplier proposals ör>
* Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental and technical standards
* Driving best‑value, whole‑life and low‑carbon engineering solutions
* Providing expert guidance and mentoring to process engineers
* Attending design reviews to present solutions and manage risk
What we’re looking for
* Extensive wastewater process design experience
* Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline (Master’s desirable)
* Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional status
* Strong technical leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills
