The Role:
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Practitioner to join the Speech and Language Therapy (Adult Service) team at University Hospital Wishaw.
The successful candidate will undertake the implementation of therapy programmes under the direction of the Speech and Language Therapist, across varied locations and with different client groups.
Duties and location may vary depending on the client group/aspect and demands of the service/level of experience.
Contract Type / Shift Pattern
Band 4 / Permanent / Part Time / 18.5 hours
Monday and Friday (hours to be agreed between 8am - 5pm)

What you'll need to bring:
* Formal qualification at HNC level or equivalent experience in health/education/social care
* Awareness of relevant health legislation
* Knowledge of clinical processes, techniques, and activities relevant to the client group
* Technical and practical skills
* Effective communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
* Time management and organizational skills
* Basic IT skills and ability to work independently or in a team
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
Additional desirable skills:
* Membership of RCSLT
* LSVT Certification
* Experience working with adults with neurological difficulties or in Videofluoroscopy clinics
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of AAC & Boardmaker
* Strong communication and organizational skills
