Our OEM Client based in Solihull is searching for an Acoustic Engineer to join their team, inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Duties:
* Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines.
* Act as an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, representing the voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment.
* Detect where attribute performance could deviate from the target using objective measurement, subjective driving assessments, static assessments/measurements, and checking build conformance to the assembly process.
* Perform initial root cause investigations and drive issues towards resolution with relevant responsible areas.
* Collaborate closely with the core aeroacoustics team to understand future product launches and their critical attribute characteristics, as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.
* Flexibility to work across various sites (Gaydon / Coventry / Solihull / Halewood) is required.
Skills Required:
* Experience in an automotive production plant quality role.
* Experience applying engineering problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues.
* Full driving licence and ability to subjectively assess driven attributes.
* Experience with plant attributes (S&R / Wind Noise / Water Test), NVH development and measurement, vehicle testing and assessment, and automotive component development.
