Job purpose

The Pricing Excellence Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, execution and ongoing delivery of the Pricing Excellence Programme; a key area of the overall Commercial Framework. The main purpose of the role is to gather and analyze available pricing and competitor data in order to inform the wider pricing strategy to include a segmented pricing policy which considers travel class by region.



Key responsibilities


* Support the development of a clearly defined pricing strategy for each supply region and segment
* Support the development of pricing rules by supply region to include a segmented pricing policy to consider target margin levels by travel class. Define pricing rules for management of exceptions, rebates and intercompany commercial frameworks
* Support the ongoing analysis required for several accounts to include full cost base contract breakdowns, evidence of price evolution & menu refresh analysis
* Ongoing maintenance review of product segmentation and customer nomination within BC.
* Verification of rebate claims on non-nominated purchases and working with customers to ensure timely claims ensuring accrual accuracy
* Implement competitor price benchmarking model working with wider commercial teams, supported by central storage of data and lost project analysis
* Gather and analyse commercial pricing intelligence to inform strategic pricing decisions
* Use data to uncover and evaluate viable commercial terms on live and strategic opportunities
* Ongoing analysis of competitor pricing by supply region & category in order to create a visual dashboard of benchmarking
* Ongoing analysis of retail on board pricing by category in order to increase chances of success based on customer margin desires
* Implementation & maintenance of Customer supply agreements
* Cover as required for Costings team activity
* Support the ongoing improvement of the annual price increase process in order to execute in a timely manner with supporting tools and data to justify customer price changes
* Act as a ‘handover’ point between costing & pricing to ensure pricing & margins are informed by price intel whilst including the relevant Account Manager for understanding and completeness

Knowledge and skills

* Strong Commercial Awareness
* Experience of in-depth Pricing Analysis
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Extremely well organised
* Ability to prioritise workload, multitask and work to deadlines.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* High attention to detail and accuracy skills, ability to gather and analyse information.
* An effective relationship builder who has worked in an environment or sector undergoing substantial and rapid change and growth.
* Useful to understand continuous improvement programmes and the application of relevant tools and methods.
* Useful to have WCM / Lean Certification (TPS, Lean, Six Sigma)
* Ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility in response to changing requirements and quickly adapt to changing priorities, activities, and deadlines.
* Demonstrate high attention to detail.



Skills / Experience


* Strong IT skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
* Experience using ERP systems (Business Central / Navision / SAP)
* CRM experience (Salesforce / MS Dynamics)
* Commercial experience of Price Analysis / Costing / Margin
* Experience in Analysis reporting (Power BI / Business Warehouse)
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Motivated self-starter
