The Community Neurorehabilitation team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Specialist Neuro Rehab Nurse, Assistant Practitioners, and Admin. We provide assessment and rehabilitation to adults with neurological conditions living within the community, including in their homes and residential services.
As a Therapy Assistant, you will support Therapists to deliver services/treatment with the aim of maximising patients’ function, independence and well‑being. The emphasis is on enabling patients to self‑manage their condition and improve confidence with daily activities. This role will allow you to develop your skills with neurological patients, while working within a supportive environment. Our team is committed to providing CPD and learning opportunities including in-service training and robust clinical supervision. We also have a firm belief that the health and well‑being of staff is fundamental in being able to provide compassionate care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver therapy treatment plans as set by Treating Therapists.
* Be responsible for your own caseload.
* Work as a member of a Multi‑Disciplinary Team with supervision.
* Be motivated to engage in developing your professional skills.
* Support clinical staff with required administrative duties related to patient care.
* Assess and provide standard assistive equipment (appropriate training will be provided).
* Supervise junior therapy assistants as required.
* Have access to a car or means of mobility (essential for this role).
