Training Officer
BCMGlobal are looking for a passionate Training Officer to join our team in Ipswich. This is a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a comprehensive learning and development framework that supports our Servicing function and ensures we consistently achieve outstanding customer outcomes.
The Role
As Training Officer, you will play a fundamental role in designing and delivering a robust suite of training programmes. From day one induction through to technical, regulatory and continuous improvement training, you will ensure colleagues have the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver best practice, compliant services within a regulated mortgage lending environment.
You will support the business in meeting regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty expectations, ensuring our training remains current, engaging and aligned to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver induction, refresher and continuous improvement training, ensuring effective knowledge transfer through evaluation and feedback.
* Partner with management to identify training needs across the Servicing function and design appropriate learning solutions.
* Create engaging training materials, guides and workshop presentations.
* Manage and maintain Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
* Continuously review and enhance training initiatives to reflect regulatory, legal and business developments.
* Research new industry topics to ensure training remains relevant and up to date.
* Ensure all materials meet business, legal and regulatory standards.
* Explore and implement new training tools and techniques to enhance learner engagement.
* Adapt delivery styles to suit different learning preferences.
* Support the wider L&D schedule, prioritising induction training and responding to changing business needs.
About You
You will bring proven training experience ideally within Financial Services and a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of the mortgage lending market is highly desirable.
You will also demonstrate:
* Excellent communication skills – confident, articulate and able to engage audiences at all levels.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and regulatory timescales.
* Creativity in designing engaging and effective learning solutions.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Resilience, initiative and a results-focused mindset.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office (particularly Word and Excel).
* A collaborative, supportive and professional approach.
CIPD or CeMAP qualification is desirable; however, we will support the right candidate who is willing to work towards these qualifications.
