The Quality Environment & Assurance Senior Network and Customer Scientist leads and develops a team to ensure optimum water quality is provided through the network, responding to customer needs and mitigating risks. As the technical expert, you’ll support proactive and reactive work, regulatory reporting, and the delivery of the Lead Strategy.
You’ll foster an inclusive environment, mentor your team, and ensure effective tactical scientific service to internal and external stakeholders. The role includes regulatory reporting, customer support, and capital scheme enablement.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead water quality investigations and ensure regulatory compliance.
2. Mentor and develop team skills in proactive and reactive interventions.
3. Drive network performance and optimisation.
4. Develop and implement lead strategy and communications.
5. Enable network capital schemes and provide scientific support.

What does it take to be successful?
17. Degree or postgraduate qualification in relevant scientific subject.
18. Delivery to customers and balancing outcomes.
19. Registered or Chartered member of a professional body.
20. Substantial experience in water process or asset science.
21. Team leadership and management experience.
22. Critical thinking, mentoring, and influencing skills.
