Sous Chef – Nela London – NEW OPENING
Live Fire | New Restaurant | The Whiteley, Queensway (W2)
After the success of Nela Amsterdam, we’re bringing our open-fire concept to London.
Nela London will open inside The Whiteley – a landmark new development in Bayswater – and will be our third location after Amsterdam and Ibiza.
Expect a 150-cover restaurant, a private dining room, and a striking open kitchen with fire at the heart that showcases our craft.
Our menu reflects honest, seasonal ingredients brought to life through fire and modern cooking techniques, with precision and restraint on every plate.
The menu brings together global influences and modern techniques – always ingredient-led, always elevated.
We’re now looking for a Sous Chef to join the opening team.
What You’ll Do
* Run the pass with calm control
* Support the Head Chef with team management (25 staff), stock, prep, and planning
* Be a hands-on mentor to junior chefs
* Help develop dishes, refine recipes, and maintain high standards
* Work clean, stay organised, and keep your section tight
* Bring positive energy and composure to every service
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in premium, fast-paced kitchens
* Experience with live fire cooking a plus
* Strong skills in grill, meat, fish, and veg cookery
* Clear communicator, comfortable leading a section or shift
* Natural team player with a sharp eye for detail
* Eager to grow with an ambitious new opening
* Full UK work rights – no sponsorship available for this role. You must be able to live and work permanently in the UK
