Job Description
Our client are currently recruiting for a Mould Toolmaker. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, fabrication, and assembly of tools and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD, as well as hands-on experience with various machining techniques.
The Tool Maker will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and precision of our production operations.\n\nOur client may also be interested in speaking to a Toolmaker with less experience who is looking to take the next step in their career.\n\nDuties\n\n * Design and fabricate tooling and fixtures according to specifications.\n\n * Assemble and test tools to ensure they meet quality standards.\n\n * Operate milling machines, lathes, and grinding equipment to produce precision components.\n\n * Utilise hand tools for fine adjustments and finishing touches on tools.\n\n * Collaborate with engineers to develop tooling solutions for new products.\n\n * Maintain and repair existing tools to extend their lifespan and functionality.\n\n * Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the workshop.\n\n * Document all processes and modifications made during tool fabrication.\n\nSkills\n\n * Proficient in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD.\n\n * Strong ability to fabricate tools using various machining techniques.\n\n * Experience in tooling design, particularly for plastics injection moulding applications.\n\n * Competence in assembling complex mechanical systems.\n\n * Familiarity with milling, grinding, and other machining processes.\n\n * Skilled in using hand tools for detailed work.\n\n * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\n\n * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.\n\nIf you possess the necessary skills and are eager to contribute to a thriving manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Tool Maker
