With over five decades of market presence, this organisation is a trusted partner across Personal Care, Industrial, Energy, Agri, and Household sectors - delivering custom chemical solutions at scale. This role is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal part in the backbone of a leading UK manufacturer, helping secure the raw materials that keep innovation moving.
Within the role of Buyer, key responsibilities will be to: -
* Source and purchase a diverse range of chemicals and raw materials
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements
* Build and manage strong supplier relationships
* Ensure continuity of supply to meet production deadlines
* Monitor market trends and proactively manage risks and opportunities
* Work closely with operations and technical teams to align on material needs
* Maintain strict compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards
You will have: -
* Proven experience purchasing chemicals or raw materials
* Strong negotiation and contract management expertise
* Sound understanding of global and local supply chains
* Confident in using procurement platforms and systems
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in the chemical manufacturing sector is a significant advantage
