We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated lecturer to lead the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award to a group of inspiring students.
About the Role:
As our DofE Class Teacher, you will:
* Deliver the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award programme to a class of secondary-aged students with SEMH needs.
* Plan and facilitate engaging, inclusive, and practical sessions across all DofE sections (Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Expedition).
* Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment that promotes personal growth, resilience, and teamwork.
* Work collaboratively with the Director of Inclusion, pastoral staff and external providers to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
What We're Looking For:
We welcome applications from qualified teachers with a passion for outdoor learning and youth development. The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs or in alternative provision settings.
* A positive, proactive approach to behaviour management, using restorative practices and trauma-informed strategies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Experience with or willingness to train in delivering the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Annual salary: Circa £26,877 - £41,414
