The purpose of the Culture and Capability Division is to enable the DfT to equip our people with the skills and positive working environment needed for everyone to thrive and achieve their best. The division sits within the Department for Transport HR function.

This is a pivotal role that is essential for delivering the People Survey and importantly implementing an interim and long-term solution to gathering employee insights for the Department moving forward. This will support evidence-based decision making for people based activities.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

Bring together data sources from culture and capability division/ elsewhere into single dashboards that help measure employee experience, identify areas for continuous improvement and inform strategic work working with projects and services teamsWork closely with and be a single interface into the HR analytics teamManage and co-ordinate the annual DfT People Survey and pulse surveys, leading on DfT engagement with the Cabinet Office and our Executive Agencies to ensure the annual survey runs smoothly and efficiently. Review and improve how we collect, analyse and respond to staff feedback and wider organisational data and information to improve how we manage and drive change. This include delivering solutions to gather insights in a more agile manner. Manage the evaluation of the efficacy of organisational development initiatives to inform decisions about activities to enable our people to reach their full potential.Build and maintain a range of employee engagement channels including the Employee Advocate Network. Budget management - monitoring contract spend and highlighting risks, and forecasting. Ensuring we are receiving value for money from our providers.Build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners at all levels. Working closely and collaboratively with others to deliver the Department’s Culture and Capability priorities.
