Job Role: Healthcare Support Worker

The Wells Road Centre provides Low Secure Inpatient Services for adult men and women with mental illness and/or personality disorder, as well as services to adult men with intellectual disability.
The available positions are for work on wards for adult men only.
The role involves being part of a service user's care team and participating in regular meetings with the named nurse or multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will work closely within a team of doctors, nurses, healthcare support assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, CBT practitioners, and educators to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Assisting with activities of daily living and addressing physical and mental health care needs to promote individual health and well-being.
2. Undertaking, recording, and reporting clinical observations as directed by registered professionals.
3. Assisting in treatment activities within the inpatient environment, which may involve escorting patients outside the ward.
4. Maintaining accurate, timely, and relevant clinical records, both written and digital, and ensuring the safe custody of healthcare records.
5. Treating patients as individuals and enabling them to achieve maximum independence.
6. Performing any other duties that are reasonable and within the scope of the role.
