We’re looking for an ESG Finance Business Partner to join our Group Financial Planning & Analysis team. T his role will work closely with our Responsible Business team supporting the delivery of Kingfisher’s ESG strategy and reporting requirements.
ESG reporting is a consistently evolving area and will require the successful candidate to work collaboratively to build tools and processes and form relationships across multiple functions and Banners. The role will support delivery of reporting inline with new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and other upcoming requirements.
What's the job?
* Act as a key finance partner to the Responsible Business team, supporting all areas of ESG finance including:
o ESG strategy development
o ESG investment analysis
o Business case development and cost management
* Support the development of ESG reporting (e.g. EU CSRD) by contributing to tactical and strategic reporting solutions, including:
o Designing, building, and documenting reporting processes
o Defining ESG KPIs and identifying required data inputs
o Developing processes to analyse and validate reporting outputs
o Supporting calculation and tracking of ESG targets
* Build and maintain strong cross-functional and cross-group networks to ensure successful delivery of ESG reporting and strategy initiatives
* Contribute to long-term planning and target setting, including climate-related goals, through advanced modelling and scenario analysis
* Provide strategic analysis and insights to support the Responsible Business team, acting as a trusted finance advisor on ESG-related matters
What You'll Bring
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong interest in financial analysis and visualisation (Excel/ PowerPoint/ BI tools)
* High level of competence in financial modelling required to support delivery of Kingfisher’s Net Zero ambitions and Climate Transition plan.
* Naturally curious with a desire to question and challenge information presented
* Open-minded with the ability to comprehend links between financial results and operational performance
