Under the leadership of our friendly team, you will oversee the day-to-day running of our café outlet within the Spa, providing our guests with an exceptional standard of service. You will also have the opportunity to support the development of the Food & Beverage offering, and work with the Spa Manager, the Restaurant Manager within the Hotel, and our experienced kitchen team, to maximise opportunities for growth. We want to help you to develop your skills and offer an extensive range of learning and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have worked in a busy Food & Beverage environment and be able to work independently to achieve success. You can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends. Hours will vary to cover breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea. Whilst you will primarily be working in the Food & Beverage outlet within the Spa, you will also have the opportunity to support other areas across the Culloden Estate.

About the role
To be responsible for the Food & Beverage service within the Spa at Culloden for the greatest enjoyment of our guests and maximum profit contribution to the business.
* To take responsibility for the effective supervision of the food and beverage outlet, ensuring an efficient operation and delivery of Hastings product and service standards.
* To support the Spa/Hotel Managment Team in developing the Food & Beverage offering in the Spa, and help to bring new ideas to life for our guests.
* To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
* To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
* To ensure company policies relating to cash handling, stock control, and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
* To ensure all food and beverage employees work to trained standards, providing feedback to deliver effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
* To ensure be knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the Spa/Hotel and are proactive in the sale of these to guests.
* To ensure you assist guests with any reasonable request for Spa/Hotel services.
* To ensure you and the team respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
* To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
* To ensure the security of food, beverage, and storage areas is maintained at all times.
* To ensure the food and beverage areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to Hastings standards.
* To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
* To ensure compliance with all matters relating to licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations, and all other relevant legislation.
* Any other duties as required by Management.

Desired Criteria
* Educated to GCSE standard or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Mathematics
* Previous food & beverage experience in a high-quality establishment
* A level 2 award in food safety and hygiene
