Overview

This is a 12 month fixed-term contract opportunity. This position could be day shift or night shift; availability for both shifts is required.


Responsibilities

* Work closely with HR leaders and management on people-related projects to create an engaging workplace environment
* Handle day-to-day HR-related questions and admin, such as new-starter processes, self-service tools, and time and attendance reviews
* Use internal dashboards to create reports for leadership at your site
* Plan initiatives designed to foster employee wellbeing and experience on site
* Run audits to ensure compliance with company processes, data protection, local employment law and HR best practices
* This role is on-site with direct contact with warehouse teams and may require travel between sites as described
* You may work on rotation with HR assistant colleagues to ensure coverage and support for employees
* The HR Assistant role is varied and may involve helping stay on top of key HR processes, supporting leaders on projects, collecting employee feedback, and helping to create an inclusive environment for HR-related queries


A day in the life

This is not a traditional office role, as you'll be working on-site and have direct contact with our warehouse teams. You will be based in DSA1, Swansea and will support the local fulfilment centre CWL1, working in a dual role. This means you will likely need to travel between the AMZL site, DSA1 and the CF site, CWL1. You may rotate with HR assistant colleagues to ensure there is always someone from our HR team available to talk to employees and support queries.


Qualifications

* Relevant experience in HR, Employee Relations or Payroll
* Advanced proficiency in both written and verbal English
* Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership
* Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
* Experience handling new-starter processes and related admin
* Basic experience working with basic employment law and HR/payroll practices
