The Opportunity:
We are seeking an organised and dynamic Qualitative Research Assistant to support an interdisciplinary project that aims to examine and promote the use of lab handbooks as a tool to improve research culture across the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and St Andrews. This project, entitled “EQUaL4C - Enhancing QUality and Adoption of Lab handbooks by empowering local Champions to Catalyse Culture Change”, is funded by the Wellcome InFrame Research Culture Catalyst Fund.
Join our team in enhancing research culture and making a meaningful impact in the academic community. This post is part-time (21 hours per week) and we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The salary for this post is £34,610 to £39,906 per annum, pro rata.
Responsibilities
The post holder will support an interdisciplinary project and contribute to:
* Conduct and analyse qualitative methods, with a focus on case studies and focus groups.
* Synthesize findings for diverse audiences.
* Collaborate across institutions and disciplines to promote positive cultural change in research environments.
* Plan proactively and solve problems to ensure project success.
Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience of using qualitative research methods and analysing outputs, particularly of case studies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Awareness of research culture and interdisciplinary research environments.
* Experience of contributing to writing research outputs.
