The Thriving Families Service is a new initiative within the Trust, which has the aim of supporting expectant parents who have previous children separated from their care to make the necessary changes required. This with a view to enabling them to safely retain care of their baby once born.
We are seeking a Service Support Assistant to provide Business Administrative support to the Thriving Families Service, this is a fixed term contract until March 2029.
About the role:
The service will comprise of two social workers, 4 family help practitioners, a team Manager and a Service Manager. The role of the Service Support Officer will be to support the service in respect of uploading documents to the electronic system, supporting with the submission of payment and translator requests, gathering and tracking pertinent data relating to statutory and best practice indicators ensuring this is recorded clearly and accurately, effectively utilising Excel spreadsheets, support with arranging and booking meetings, minuting meetings, typing, receiving telephone calls and ensuring effective lines of communication between both external and internal professionals and families. This is not an exhaustive list, but is a summary outline of the role.
About you:
* Will hold NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a business admin role.
* Have experience in minute taking of complex meetings.
* You need to be IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
* Have good communication and telephone skills.
* Have good organisational skills and ability to prioritise your own workload.
* You must also be able to work independently and work well as part of a team.
* A standard DBS check will be required for this role.
