Robert Half are delighted to be supporting a fast-growing business in Portishead on the recruitment of a full-time and permanent Accounts Assistant to join the team.
A newly created role due to the growth of the business, this is a very exciting time to join if you are keen to learn and develop. This would be the ideal role for someone who is an AAT studier, and hungry to grow. Or someone with prior practical finance experience, keen to apply their expertise to a new organisation and hit the ground running.
Our client is based in Portishead and adopt a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office with plenty of free parking available. They work on a core hour basis and can be flexible with working hours as needed.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include but are not limited to:
1. Process purchase and sales invoices, payments, receipts and maintain accurate, compliant financial records.
2. Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal teams, resolving invoice and payment queries promptly.
3. Support month end activities, including accruals, prepayments, VAT returns, and statutory submissions.
4. Prepare and support supplier payment runs, ensuring all information is complete, correct and adheres to financial regulations.
Your Profile:
5. Previous experience in a transactional finance/accounting position, with a good base knowledge of a finance function.
6. Ideally, you will already be studying (AAT), but we are also open to candidates who haven't started yet but are keen to study.
7. Confident using accounting software and Microsoft packages.
8. Strong communicator, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and a proactive individual.
In return, the salary on offer is between £28-34k dependant on experience plus benefits including 25 days annual leave (plus BHs), private medical insurance, life insurance, and many more.
