Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established company specialising in architectural metalwork. This role involves the fabrication and installation of high-quality structural and decorative steelwork across a variety of projects.
The successful candidate will have strong experience working with feature staircases, balustrades, railings, and escape stairs, using both mild steel and stainless steel.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabrication of architectural metalwork including:
o Feature staircases
o Escape stairs
o Railings and balustrades
* Working from engineering drawings to produce high-quality finished products
* Welding using MIG, TIG, and Stick (Arc) processes
* Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
* Assisting with and carrying out on-site installations where required
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
* Adhering to health & safety regulations at all times
Requirements
* Minimum 4-5 years' experience in architectural metalwork fabrication and fitting
* Proven experience working with:
o Mild steel
o Stainless steel
* Competent in:
o MIG welding
o TIG welding
o Stick (Arc) welding
* Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
* Experience with both workshop fabrication and site installation
* Strong attention to detail and quality of work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
